Catholic University Ružomberok

Catholic University in Ružomberok (CU) was founded in 2000 and consists of four faculties – Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts and Letters, Faculty of Health and Faculty of Theology. It is the only Catholic university in Slovakia. CU performs its activities and education especially in the areas of the humanities, historical, pedagogical, and social and health sciences, as well as in the areas of art, economics, management, and law. Faculty of Education, as the biggest faculty, prepares and trains new teachers, social workers and managers. The education at the university is based on the European Credit Transfer System, which guarantees compatibility with leading educational institutions and thus allows student mobility between universities throughout the European Union. The university offers all three levels of studies – Bachelor, Masters and PhD.
