“Ready or Not? Exploring the ‘Never Normal’ in Schools and Teaching”

On December 4, 2025, Eurofortis and KNOWLO Global in cooperation with IAITME hosted the International Hybrid Conference 2025 — “Ready or Not? Schools and Teachers in the ‘Never Normal’” — at the Bellevue Hotel in Riga, Latvia, bringing together education experts from across Europe and beyond. This conference was the first IAITME supported conference in a row - next conferences in other member countries will follow.

The event gathered 40 participants on-site and more than 70 participants online, forming a truly international audience from Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, South Africa, Nigeria, Burundi, Tanzania, and Mexico. Together, we explored how teachers and schools can grow and adapt in constantly changing times through learner-centred innovation and global collaboration.

A heartfelt thank you to all speakers, panelists, workshop facilitators and participants for your openness, knowledge and energy. Your contributions helped us dive into critical questions:

• What kind of teachers does our rapidly changing world need?
• How can schools evolve in the “never normal”?
• How can global cooperation shape the future of education?

Thanks to our international and Latvian experts for delivering inspiring keynote sessions and practical workshops, and to everyone who participated in the panel discussions and networking sessions. Your insights and real-life examples made this conference truly meaningful.
