Agata Katkonienė

Agata Katkonienė plays a key role in IAITME as a member of the Supervisory Board and an expert in educational innovation and teacher training. A master of educational sciences and a lecturer at the Institute of Educational Sciences and Social Work at Mykolas Romeris University since 2007, she brings extensive expertise in digital social work, educational leadership, and professional development.

Her work focuses on integrating digital tools into social services and education, with an emphasis on digital inclusion, ethical digital engagement, learner-centered methodologies, and assertive communication. Agata has contributed to over ten international projects, addressing topics such as learner-centered education, digital well-being, child rights protection, online safety, etc. She is deeply committed to improving digital literacy and access in both the education and social sectors.

As an advocate of innovative teaching, Agata promotes learner-centered approaches and the Lean & Lead principles, working extensively with teachers and educational managers in both formal and non-formal learning environments. Her additional expertise in assertive communication and social counselling enhances her ability to design inclusive, responsive, and forward-thinking educational strategies.
